Western new year:

I spent my night for new year at the foreigners' bar. We made/ate dumplings and drank a lot.

Yan: I am an English teacher from Quebec, Canada. I was born in Halifax (Nova Scotia) but raised in Quebec. Ever since a young age I have been encouraged to observe the world with an open mind. My father is a trucker and he would bring me to the USA as a kid. As far as I can remember, I always enjoyed traveling and plan on doing so for as long as I can. During the following years I will be living and working in many different countries.
